BODYWORK
I have offered Bodywork since 2009, and much of this part of my work has grown through personal recommendation.
People come for different reasons. Sometimes they are looking for greater ease or freedom of movement. Sometimes an area simply feels tight, restricted or uncomfortable. Sometimes they are curious whether hands-on work may help them feel more comfortable in their body.
Sessions are personalised and responsive to you, rather than based on a standard routine.
A RESPONSIVE APPROACH
By Bodywork, I mean hands-on work that adapts to the individual and to what feels appropriate on the day.
I do not expect every person — or every session — to need the same approach.
We begin with how things are feeling for you, what you have noticed and what you would like support with. From there, I work responsively rather than trying to fit you into a predetermined sequence of techniques.
The aim is to support greater ease, comfort and freedom of movement where that is possible.
Some people come because an area feels tight or restricted.
Others notice that they are moving differently, holding tension or simply do not feel as comfortable in their body as they would like.
Some clients describe a sense of softening, release or greater freedom through areas that had felt restricted after a session.
Everyone responds differently, so I do not promise a particular outcome.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A session begins with a conversation about what has brought you in and what you have noticed.
The hands-on work then develops according to what seems appropriate for you that day.
That means the balance of the session may vary from one appointment to another.
You do not need to know which technique you need before you arrive.
My role is to work thoughtfully and responsively, while keeping the session centred on what feels useful and appropriate for you.
EXPERIENCE & APPROACH
I have been working with Bodywork since 2009.
Over that time, my approach has developed through extensive hands-on experience and wider complementary-practice training.
What matters most in a session is not the number of techniques I could name.
It is being able to listen, observe, adapt and use the approach that seems most appropriate for the person in front of me.
IN-PERSON BODYWORK
Bodywork is available in person near Clitheroe, Lancashire, by arrangement.
This is a local part of my practice and is separate from the online Change Work and Deeper Work offered elsewhere on the site.
If you would like to ask about availability or whether Bodywork might be appropriate for you, the easiest next step is simply to get in touch.
A SIMPLE NEXT STEP
A large part of my Bodywork practice has developed through people recommending me to friends, family or colleagues.
So if someone has said, “Sara does Bodywork — have a look at her website,” this page is intended to give you enough information to decide whether you would like to make contact.
You do not need to know exactly what kind of session you need.
Just tell me briefly what has brought you here, and we can take it from there.
